The Panthers released Bene' Benwikere on Friday after surrendering over 225 yds to Julio Jones in Carolina's embarrassing loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Benwikere admitted on WFNZ Primetime with Chris Kroeger that he wasn't in the correct game shape to match up one-on-one with Jones like he was asked. The Panthers brought rookie corner Zack Sanchez up from the practice squad to fill Benewikere's spot.
Benwikere was claimed by the Miami Dolphins, a defense in desperate need of help, today. Carolina's secondary is also a unit that is in need of some help as they ask Robert McClain, Daryl Worley, and Zach Sanchez to cover Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson.
