Join the Anti Tim Hasselbeck Movement

Recently, ESPN analyst Tim Hasselbeck produced a tweet juxtaposing Russell Wilson with Cam Newton.  Hasselbeck described Wilson as a player who plays "bigger" than his stature, while Newton as a guy who plays "smaller."

Posing as a football analyst, "Lil Timmy" Hasselbeck's analysis is clearly smaller than the analyst. Hasselbeck, who was hardly relevant when on the football field, has tried to maintain relevancy by now issuing hot takes.  His inconsequential NFL career, however, is now only birthing an inconsequential media career.

There are various aspects of this attack that are perplexing.  Why the innate need to compare Wilson and Newton?  Why is it necessary to demean a player in order to applaud another? Cannot one simply congratulate Wilson for his success as a pro?  Obviously that wouldn't draw the same attention.  Instead, Hasselbeck feels Newton is an easy target, likely because of the polarizing nature of the young star.  Ironically, Cam Newton accomplished more in the first four games of his rookie career than Hasselbeck accomplished in his entire career.

This post itself, unfortunately, gives Hasselbeck the unwarranted attention that he craves. Join us in action against "Lil Timmy" Hasselbeck by unfollowing him on Twitter today. Here's the handle @tthasselbeck...make it look like @tthasselbeck
