Perhaps the only thing better than watching the Falcons choke in spectacular fashion is that we can now turn the page on the 2016 season and look ahead. The Panthers fell well-below expectations in 2016, but 2017 is a new year. And if 2016 taught us anything, nothing is promised and teams can bounce back. I mean, the Falcons made it to the Super Bowl after an 8-8 season in 2015.
Here are the odds for all 32 teams to win the Super Bowl. Everything is on the scale of a $100 dollar bet. If the line is +2800, like it is for the Carolina Panthers, a bet of $100 dollars would pay $2800 (28:1). I've highlighted all teams in the NFC South.
What stands out to you? For me, the Colts having better odds than the Panthers is bothersome. Sure, there's a personal grudge there, but they haven't demonstrated they are a better team with a more solid foundation than the Panthers.
