Panthers Down to 14 million in Salary Cap Space, and It's Really Less Than That!

The Panthers spending money is getting short. Re-signing Mario Addison, Charles Johnson, and adding guys like Matt Kalil, Julius Peppers, and Captain Munnerlyn has consumed much of Carolina's cap space. Now down to $14.3m dollars in cap space. This isn't all spendable cash, however. $9m of this needs to be allocated for signing rookies, practice squad members, and potential additions throughout the season.

There's still an opportunity to free up some space. We'll likely see some space cleared up as Carolina refines its roster more and more. Right now, Carolina only has about $5m in liquid cash to spend. Good thing Gettleman knows how to shop at the Dollar Store. This is when he's at his best actually.
