It is crazy to think that a team with Ted Ginn and Philly Brown as starting receivers is in the top five of the NFL at scoring offense. The Panthers have arguably the most effective ground game in the league, and receivers that make just enough plays to put them in scoring position. Carolina is 8-0 for the first time in team history, and is doing it without the likes of Steve Smith, Muhsin Muhammed, and Kelvin Benjamin. Byrd Watching: OTAs Round One

The new series covering backyard baller Damiere Byrd kicks off here with some observations from the first round of Organized Team Activities. The first two days of OTAs were closed to the media, so the happenings are somewhat unknown. However, the third and final day was open to reporters, and several of the lineups and performances were interesting to say the least. A Look at Carolina's Undrafted Free Agents

The past two draft classes have been loaded with depth and talent, this is why scouting undrafted free agents is so important. Last year Gettleman was able to bring in big contributors to our team, and starters in Philly Brown and Andrew Norwell. At this time, we have signed 10 undrafted free agents and invited one to our rookie minicamp. Even though we didn't bring in a couple of the names I really wanted, I am more than excited for this crop of players. I’ll try my best to rank these players off their potential to make the team, and give my prediction for their future.
