Kiss Butker Goodbye!

The Carolina Panthers waived 7th round draft selection, Harrison Butker, to clear roster space to sign former Packers CB, Ladarius Gunter.

After an awkward two weeks where the Panthers kept both Graham Gano and Harrison Butker on the 53-man roster, where rumors spread of the Panthers trying to trading one of the kickers, Carolina decided to retain the veteran Graham Gano. Many hoped Butker would replace Gano who has been inconsistent over the past two seasons, but Carolina clearly felt more comfortable with the player they know than the player many hope Butker can be. 

Gano was perfect in the Panthers opener, making three field goals and two extra-points. His kicks were true and that was enough to convince Carolina Gano was their guy.
