With the news that top draft pick Jaycee Horn will miss OTAs and mini-camp due to a foot injury, the Carolina Panthers may need to consider pursuing a veteran free-agent cornerback such as Marcus Peters or Bashaud Breeland. While the Panthers are confident in Horn's ability and expect him to be back and ready for the regular season, his history of injuries in his first two seasons is a concern. Peters, a Pro Bowl cornerback with impressive ball skills, would bring a wealth of experience to Carolina's secondary. Breeland, who has previously expressed interest in joining the Panthers, is also a proven veteran who could provide stability and depth at the position. Ultimately, with Horn's injury and history of physical setbacks, bringing in an experienced cornerback could be a smart move for the Panthers.
