Jaycee Horn's Hamstring Injury May Require Surgery

Jaycee Horn went down in the first half of Carolina’s opening game against the Atlanta Falcons. It was a non-contact injury that Frank Reich reported Horn knew immediately that it was severe, noting a “pop.” Reich hesitantly discussed the matter, noting that they were still evaluating the injury and suggesting that Horn is seeking second opinions. Grade three hamstring tears sometimes come with a popping sensation and require surgery for ideal recovery. The timeline to return to sporting-like activities is 16-24 weeks.

With the team noting surgery is on the table, Horn likely suffered a full tear. This would sideline Horn likely for the remainder of the season. This would make for the 3rd consecutive season where Horn suffered a signifcant injury.
