Carolina again didn't make any big splashes in free agency, but it looks as if Dave Gettleman had some key targets he aggressively pursued.  All had a key commonality, they excel at special teams play.  Gettleman grabbed up Tedd Ginn, Jr., Jordan Toddman, Jason Trusnik, Teddy Williams, and former Green Bay Packer wide receiver, Jarrett Boykin to turn around the weakest element of last year's Carolina Panthers.   The targets were more strategic that most give Gettleman credit, however.  He looked to immediately revamp the special teams unit through free agency, rather than rolling the dice on a bunch of green rookies.  All of these guys bring experience, talent, and a hunger to the Panthers special teams.
