Are you easy to forgive a troubled athlete?

Yesterday, the troubled Josh Gordon put out a sincere letter defending his humanity and explaining his fallen nature.  The letter exploded on social media.  Some found Gordon's plea moving, while others found it to be another excuse in a long line of "but what had happened was."

The Panthers have had a troubled athlete controversy this season.  It's been one of what many believe to be a more serious nature. Greg Hardy's domestic dispute, however, has largely fallen out of the media's focus.

So do you find yourselves a wanting to forgive these guys for their transgressions?  Does an act like Gordon's come off as sincere or just denial?  Is it better that these guys just keep their feeling close to the vest, or do you like to see this vulnerable side?  Jump on the mic and let us know.

It's really splitting neck hairs isn't it?  Who is worse, the Caveman who chose to go back to school for interior design instead of coming to Carolina, or the playboy who ruined our decade? They both suck, so who sucks the least?

Will Benjamin Bounce Back Against Seattle?

The rookie has struggled late in the season.  He's had numerous drops and simply not been a large factor in the offense.  If Carolina is to win Saturday, Benjamin will need to show up.

It was not all that long ago the Panthers were in the midst of a six game losing streak. It was at that time people/fans (some who write for this site included) began calling for head coach Ron Rivera to be replaced. The team was in shambles, injuries and bad play calling/execution were factors in the team's poor play. Fast forward to the wild card round of the playoffs and now the Panthers are in the midst of a four game win streak, with momentum building. So the question has arisen:

Should Ron Rivera be considered for Coach of the Year honors?

Grab the mic and tell us your thoughts.

The win yesterday was big.  Aside from making Carolina the first team in NFC South history to repeat as division champion, the Carolina Panthers will host the Arizona Cardinals Saturday in the Wild Card game.

Was yesterday's win decisive enough for you to believe in this team?

If I'd told you in August that you could have the Carolina Panthers in the last game of the year against the Atlanta Falcons for all the marbles, would you have taken it?

It was clear Carolina was weak up the middle defensively prior to the arrival of Star Lotulelei and Kawaan Short.  Picking defensive tackles isn't really ever sexy, but the need for the big bodies showed as Carolina's defense stifled the run and frustrated quarterbacks all season.  Neither has had the success they enjoyed in their rookie years because of Carolina's overall defensive decline. We have seen a 14 more games out of these guys, however.

So which defensive end will be finer in Carolina, Star or Short? Vote in our poll and leave a comment below.

With Cam Newton likely missing Sunday's game, some fringe Panthers fans get what they wished for, Derek Anderson.  Will he get it done Sunday or will be be a QB on a Shelf?

Open Mic: What will a Panthers 2015 Turnaround Require?

Most forecasted that Carolina would take a step back from their 2013 success.  Most, however, didn't think the step-back would be a tumble down a mountainside.  So while Carolina is statistically still in the race, it seems that 2015 offers more promise than a late season turnaround.

Grab the mic and tell Panther Nation what it will take for Carolina to get back to the mountain-top.  What combination in the draft, free agency, coaching, etc will it require?

Mike Shula is clearly on the way out.  At this point, even Rivera's job security is questionable.  If he does survive another year, he will certainly need to make some staff changes.  Would you like to see Marc Trestman as Carolina's offensive coordinator?  How much would he help Cam develop?

Right now the Panthers sit at 3rd place of the NFC South at 3-7-1.  Who many games will the Panthers win in 2014?  Can they realistically win out and repeat as NFC South Champions?
