Terrace Marshall, Jr. can’t seem to catch a break. Marshall left practice today riding a golf cart. Frank Reich indicated TMJ tweaked his back, and then Sheena Quick TMJ later reported it would have a scan completed. Whether or not this injury is noteworthy, TMJ faces another uphill battle.

He entered the league recovering from a foot injury and then dealt with some hamstring problems upon his return. His health wasn’t the only obstacle, however. Former coach Matt Rhule didn’t seem to favor the wideout, particularly after he fired offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

TMJ found a little luck after Steve Wilks took over as interim coach. Hopes have been high, and the new regime offered a moment for TMJ to find his mojo. TMJ started camp slowly, leaving fans wondering if he would pan out. Doubts aside, TMJ surged in the late weeks of camp, giving us glimpses of hope he can become a contributor. This most recent injury marks another challenge in TMJ’s uphill battle to succeed in Carolina.
