Jason Peter, Where's That Cat Now? [AUDIO]

Jason Peter, 3-time National Champion, Carolina's #1 draft pick in 1998, and New York Times best-selling author struggled with injury and adversity while a Panther. It resulted in a crack and heroin addiction that nearly killed him and devastated his friends and family. Peter spoke with Carolina Cat Chronicles for an hour and a half about his career,  his injuries, his relationship with the media, and his struggle with addiction. Part of Carolina Cat Chronicles' "Where's that Cat Now?" series, Peters interview is unfiltered and a revelation about challenges that athletes face that we often never hear about.

Episode 2 of Where's That Cat Now? catches up with former Carolina Panther offensive tackle and member of the 2003 Superbowl team, Todd Steussie.  The former 1994 first round pick by the Minnesota Vikings, who later played with the Carolina Panthers from 2001-2003, is now part owner of Potentia Metrics, a leader in NFL analytics.

Will Witherspoon, Where's That Cat Now?

C3 kicks off series, Where's That Cat Now? by catching up with former Panther great Will Witherspoon.  Where's That Cat Now? celebrates past Panther players careers and lives, looking past football to see where they and what they are doing at this point in their lives.  It's a human interest series that hopes to get an insiders look into past locker rooms, to play on the field, and most interestingly life outside of football. 

The first episode in this new series doesn't disappoint. Witherspoon, the former 73rd overall selection in the 2002 draft played in Carolina from 2002-2005 and was a member of the 2003-4 Super Bowl team where he recorded 16 tackles.  He later signed as a free agent with the St Louis Rams, where he played the through 2009, spending time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Titans.

Witherspoon's career off the field has been just as influential as it was on the field.  Owner of Shire Gate Farms, a 700 acre track of land committed to responsible husbandry, Witherspoon has advocated before Congress for a more thoughtful approach to the use of antibiotics in livestock and still keeps a close eye on the football field as a sideline reporter for the St. Louis Rams.  

Spoon really opened up in this interview, giving a personal picture of the Panthers locker room, Sam Mills and Mark Fields battles with cancer, the Panthers trip to the Super Bowl, and even the current group of Panther linebackers.  So don't ask, find out Where that Cat's at Now!
